Wow, what a job but what a rewarding experience. Making my own tortilla bread for the first time from scratch. Although you’ve seen me in week 1 using a tortilla for a sandwich, it came from this batch. I’ve told you back then I store mine in the freezer but this is how I made it. I found making the tortillas easy but a bit time consuming, since I prepared a whole bunch of tortillas to store in the fridge. The most rewarding part was my husband loving a gluten-free bread tortilla. It’s difficult to get him to eat anything gluten or lactose free even though he is lactose intolerant. But, I completely changed his mind on both the former. He is now a corn gluten-free, lactose free taco lover. He even asked me to make it a staple in our weekly “SimpleLife” cooking, which he helps with. So, this was an entire win for both my gut and household. I’m ecstatic!!

I’m not sure which exact video I’ve watched from this youtuber, it’s been such a long time ago and she has several flatbread recipes on her channel. Her channel is “Skinnyrecipes” please feel free to check out her channel, should you be interested in different types of flatbread. Furthermore, I have made the recipe my own by adding baking powder, baking soda etc. to my dough. I often draw inspiration from my mother’s cooking and try to incorporate in my own. My mom add baking soda and baking powder to her hotcake mixture which gives it a soft, porous texture.
