The class will explain how the energetic quality of fire (Pitta dosha) relating to our bile and stomach acids increases and causes a sour taste and then excessive acidity. This results in an increase in stomach acids and appetite (Pachaka Pitta). Basically, an increase in our metabolism (Pitta vriddhi). As the Pitta accumulates (sanchaya stage) if not pasificed, Pitta becomes provoked (prakopa stage) and acid reflux and related symptoms are the result. Since the condition (panchaka Pitta vriddhi) is in the GI tract it is easy to treat with diet and herbal remedies as per Ayurveda.
This detailed class will introduce dietary guidelines, lifestyle habits and the herbal treatments that address acidity, sour taste in the mouth, excess appetite, heartburn, nausea, gastric pain, intense hunger and more.
