Acid Reflux and the sensation of heartburn is a common complaint during pregnancy. As baby grows there is increased pressure within the body, which may lead to acid escaping the stomach. I’ve created a prenatal yoga video to open the chest and lengthen the spine. This will allow more space around the stomach and esophagus, bringing relief. If you are experiencing acid reflux you should avoid all inversions or postures that place the head below the heart, such as: downward facing dog (adho mukha svanasana). It will also help if you keep the torso at an incline (45 degree) when reclining back.
