Oatmeal is an amazing source of fiber
Oatmeal might not be the favorite of some people, but it’s a good choice for heartburn. If oatmeal is not your favorite and you have acid reflux, better not eliminate it from your diet plan. Waking up to the bowl of oatmeal helps in supplying fiber to the body. And it is often linked with minimizing heart-related problems.
Another fiber-rich food is banana
This fruit is not just high in fiber but also loaded with potassium and magnesium, which makes banana an ideal fruit for heartburn. But make sure you eat a banana before it gets ripe. Normally banana is a low-acid fruit, but once it gets ripe, it becomes acidic. And acidic food is not recommended for acid reflux.
Acidic and high-fat foods trigger heartburn. If you are a heart patient, you have to avoid food that comes under those categories.

And, you can increase fiber intake by combining fibrous foods. If oatmeal doesn’t sound interesting to you, you can flavor it by adding banana or berries to the oatmeal bowl.
Lean protein is an essential nutrient for acid reflux
Foods which are a good source of lean protein can reduce the symptoms of acid reflux. If your doctor suggests you follow a lean protein diet, you surely want to add foods from our list.
Not the yolk but the white part of an egg can help you with heartburn. Yolk is high in fat and can trigger the symptom of acid reflux.
So, you would want to stay away from the yolk part. Egg whites are a good source of lean protein and are low acidic, giving you a perfect reason to include them in your diet.
The ideal way to eat egg white is to hard boil it, remove the yolk, and just eat the white part.
Low in fat and high in lean protein makes tofu great for acid reflux. You may prefer to bake, grill, or poach tofu.
But you need to be sure that you don’t combine tofu with food that is not good for the heart.
Just add some spices and herbs to the tofu to enhance the taste and cook it in your preferable way.
